The honorary district farmer elisabeth fischer passed away on 21. July passed away unexpectedly at the age of 67. The lichtenfels district association of the bavarian farmers' association paid tribute to the deceased in a press release.

Her ability to approach and listen to others, her willingness to help, her sense of what is feasible and her unwavering will to give the farms a future perspective characterized her work and her personality. In all her work, she has always put people first."Elisabeth fischer's main focus was on the education and training of the next generation of farmers as well as adult education. "She was aware that the education of farmers is the foundation and the key to the successful further development of our agricultural and forestry enterprises. In countless countrywomen's days, she promoted the acceptance of educational offers and the broadening of horizons."Another important concern for her was a professionally sound explanation of healthy and balanced nutrition.

Deserving of women farmers

"Mrs. Fischer has rendered outstanding services to agriculture and forestry, to her profession and, above all, to women farmers. We would like to thank her for her life's work," says the letter signed by district farmer marion warmuth, district chairman michael bienlein and managing director hans rebelein.

In 1992, elisabeth fischer was elected to the lichtenfels district board of the BBV. She held this post until 2012. At the same time, as a district farmer, she was at the head of the rural women's group of the lichtenfels district association . From 1997 to 2012 she was the local builder of doringstadt.

In 1994, the association "urlaub auf dem bauernhof" was founded, of which elisabeth fischer was chairman from the beginning until 2015. From 1982 to 2000, she was a deputy member of the master craftswomen's examination committee for rural home economics . In addition, she was also involved in the committee for "vacation on the farm" as chairwoman of the DLG parliamentary group, and from 2002 to 2014 as a district councilor in the district of lichtenfels .

A high point in her time as a county farmer was the 2005 county harvest festival in her hometown of doringstadt.
