Better to save money voluntarily

There is no reason to panic! The representatives of the water supplier assure us of this, and the administrative community of marktleugast sees their request to perhaps refrain from washing the car or sprinkling the lawn as merely a friendly appeal.
Well-intentioned – but whether it’s any good? In theory, we are all in favor of conserving resources, avoiding waste and saving energy.
What happens in practice, on the other hand, is sometimes horrifying. Even in the hottest summer, the lawn is trimmed to three millimeters – and then watered so that it doesn’t dry out. The leftovers from a barbecue at a friend’s house are carefully wrapped in several layers of aluminum foil and carried home, even though it would have been easy to take a couple of fresh-keeping cans with us.
And even when no one is at home, the gardens are illuminated like a medium-sized amusement park in the summertime. With LED lights. Because it is more economical.
There are so many ways to save a little, even on the small things, if you’re serious about protecting the environment. But in the end, none of us wants to get out of our personal comfort zone.
Until the friendly requests are followed at some point by bans and bubble money.
