Protection is needed
In order to protect passengers and crew as best as possible, there will be a new safety directive in place as of 27 june. April in all means of public transport an everyday mask obligation. "Please make sure that when boarding a public vehicle, a mouth-nose protection is put on", district administrator wilhelm schneider appeals to the burghers. Furthermore, he asks: "keep your distance from other passengers wherever possible, for example, by using the entire length of the platform and all lanes to board the train. Make sure you keep a safe distance from passengers getting on and off the train and do not stand face to face", says district administrator schneider.
Community masks or masks for everyday use are not high-quality masks such as FFP masks – these must be reserved primarily for medical and nursing personnel. Community or everyday masks are simple masks for the mouth and nose that are sewn from commercially available fabrics in a wide range of variations. There are numerous close-up instructions on the internet. Mouth-nose coverings are also produced by various companies such as textile manufacturers. If no such mouth-nose covering is available, a cloth or scarf can also be held or tied in front of the mouth and nose.
Even if tickets are not sold on the buses, they are compulsory. Anyone with questions about the timetable is asked to contact the relevant transport company directly, the authority says
