There was great joy at the carl-zeitler kindergarten in forchheim: a delegation from the georg-hartmann-realschule's school council (SMV) was a guest and did not come empty-handed.
At the annual advent bazaar at their school, the young people, together with all the students from grades 5 to 7, had sold creative christmas-themed items, delicacies such as waffles, cookies, gingerbread and mulled wine, generating a whopping 500 euros, which could now be donated to a good cause.
The team around kindergarten director barbara heindel had already invested the money for new purchases before the visit of the school representatives selin yildirim and beatrice adler, so that the children could see and try out everything right under the eyes of the guests. For example, the kindergarten is now equipped with new building blocks, various exciting board games, learning kits and a new CD player.
School representative selin remembers: "nine years ago, I attended this kindergarten myself. It's a great feeling that we can do something good here through the SMV and that we were also allowed to be present at the distribution of the donations. Seeing the kids here with huge smiles is just great!"
Kindergarten children express their gratitude with a spring picture they created themselves on canvas. "We will certainly find a place of honor for it in school!", SMV teacher michael murk was pleased.
Afterwards, there was still time to try out the new achievements together with the visitors. In the end, everyone agreed: the action of the georg-hartmann-realschule was worth it all around!
